AUDIENCE GRANTED TO H.E. CHRISTOPHER JOHN LAMORA, AMBASSADOR OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO CAMEROON

On Monday, March 17, 2025, H.E. MBELLA MBELLA, Minister of External Relations, received in audience H.E. Christopher John LAMORA, Ambassador of the United States of America to Cameroon.

The exchanges, which lasted an hour, provided an opportunity to discuss the solidity of bilateral cooperation with the United States of America, which hopefully should be further consolidated with the new Administration of President Donald TRUMP. The important contribution of the United States in the fields of health, security, economic development and the optimal exploitation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was exalted.

The assurance of efforts to maintain the socio-political and institutional stability of Cameroon, which plays a stabilizing role in Central Africa, was emphasized. This in a context marked by the rise of land and sea threats, transnational terrorism, as well as endogenous factors of instability.

The good understanding in the management of migratory flows between the two countries was also welcomed, as was the American support in the ongoing efforts for the promotion and optimal protection of human rights for the social well-being of Cameroonians. All of which should underpin the shared security, stability and prosperity of Cameroon and the United States of America.
