Against the backdrop of Cameroon's participation in the third edition of the Italy-Africa Ministerial Conference "Encounters with Africa", H.E. Mbella Mbella took the floor during the interactive thematic panel session "Renewable Revolution", to present Cameroon's potential, and action in the renewable energy sector.
In his speech, he highlighted abundant and diverse renewable energy sources in Africa, and Cameroon, noting that Cameroon is endowed with human capital and policies to foster the development and use of renewable resources.
In response to a question on Cameroon's action in the renewable energy sector, he underlined policies and capacity building opportunities for youth, the promotion of startups in the sector, the fight against climate change, and the protection of forests.
The Minister of External Relations is at the helm of the Cameroonian delegation that will be participating in the third edition of the Italy-Africa Ministerial Conference, in Rome, from 8 October 2021.
Upon arrival in Rome, on 7 October, H.E. Mbella Mbella had an audience with the Italian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Marina Sereni, followed by a meeting with his Gabonese counterpart, H.E. Pacôme Moubelet-Boubeya.
