The Consul of the Republic of Cameroon in Calabar, Mr Onana Patrice, undertook an official working visit to Akwa-Ibom State, in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, from 17 to 20 November 2020.
During his stay in Akwa-Ibom, the Consul, accompanied by his collaborators, paid courtesy visits to two state authorities - the Immigration Service Comptroller at the Akwa Ibom State Command and the Commissioner of Police at the Akwa Ibom State Police Command.
They also distributed humanitarian aid kits to 300 Cameroonian refugees in Akwa-Ibom state (Uyo, Eket, Oron, Ikot Ekpene etc.,) as part of a special gift from the Head of State, His Excellency Paul Biya, to Cameroonian refugees in Nigeria and held a meeting with the Akwa-Ibom State chapter of the Cameroon Community in Nigeria (CCN). In the course of his meeting with the CCN in Akwa-Ibom, the Consul encouraged refugees to return to Cameroon, considering the Government’s relentless efforts to restore peace and security in the North West and South West regions of the country.


The Ambassador of Cameroon to Turkey, H.E. Victor Tchatchouwo, had an important working session with the President of the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF), Prof. Dr. Birol AKGÜN,on Monday, 09 November 2020. The TMF conducts a significant academic cooperation with Cameroon and has several schools in our country.

The current state of cooperation between Cameroon and the Turkish Maarif Foundation, as well as prospects of increasing the Group's investments in Cameroon were at the center of the talks between the Ambassador and his Host.

On Monday 16 November 2020, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cameroon to the Federative Republic of Brazil, H.E. Martin A. Mbeng, organised a Working Breakfast with designated representatives of the Cameroonian Diaspora living in São Paulo at the WTC Sheraton Hotel in the city. The First Counsellor at the Cameroonian Embassy, Mr. Paulin Martial Tchenzette took part in this meeting alongside the Ambassador.

The meal set the stage for the Ambassador to share the Head of State's message of Togetherness, Unity and Peace with the sons and daughters of Cameroon in Sao Paulo. He also solemnly handed out consular cards to Cameroonian citizens who recently got registered after a consular mission undertaken by the Chancellery in that zone.

On 11 November 2020, the new Ambassador of Uruguay to Brazil, former Vice-Minister of External Relations, H.E. Guilermo Valles paid a working visit to the Embassy of Cameroon in Brazil with jurisdiction over Uruguay. This visit set the stage for discussions on the prospects of finalising the general legal framework for cooperation between the two countries.
