REVITALIZATION OF CAMEROON-ETHIOPIA COOPERATION

On Wednesday, 17 March 2021, a Cameroon-Ethiopia Senior Officials Consultation meeting was held at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ethiopian delegation led by H.E. Ambassador Aklilu Kebede, Director General for Africa, and the Cameroonian delegation led by H.E. Ewumbue-Monono Churchill, Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the AU, assessed the state of bilateral cooperation in key areas including:
- Defense and security;
- Economy and Trade;
- Social, Cultural, Diplomatic and Consular Affairs.
Both parties presented updates on the state of play in their countries, and on regional and international affairs.
They also discussed issues raised by the Cameroonian Embassy in Addis-Ababa that need to be addressed by the Ethiopian Government.
The two Delegations resolved to report to their respective Hierarchies and adopt a work plan for future consultations, in view of strengthening the bilateral friendship and cooperation ties.
